Received an offer as Engagement Director from Salesforce (CSG, pre sales, L9). Great benefits package, 40% increase in total comp and better WLB.
I do love the people in my practice and current client, but career trajectory has stalled after taking parental leave earlier this year and (yet another) change in leadership.
Realistically, making to Director is 2-3 years away and will require sacrificing time with my family that I am not prepared to give up.
Should I stay or should I go?

Wiith projects that have unattable deadlines, and RMs that are worthless in helping you find projects, and bench time with current market conditions, looks like PIP is increasing and mental health is declining.
I was put on a PIP at a previous firm. I was suffering from a health condition I didn’t realize at the time and feeling like crap, and also was working on a niche area project I didn’t have much knowledge in. I just couldn’t click into gear on the team, and was put on a PIP.
For a year. I used it as a learning experience. Took an industry job. Also became a lot more technical over the past year and got a lot of certs. I just was offered a consulting role again in an area I like better with a $40k salary bunp to the role I got a PIP on :)
Sometimes justified, sometimes it’s a soft layoff. In general the leadership will target people who are not a “fit”, either legitimate underperformance or those who are not pliable / yes men.
Sometimes we dwell on things that really aren’t that significant as you get wiser you start to worry less
Probably 10-15%, the people I know got PIPs got it at multiple places.
At multiple consulting companies or including industry ? What’s wrong with them?
Sucks lol but you’ll live when your next opportunity is better
