What percentage of the year would you say you’re booked? I was thinking specifically of freelancers but interested in anyone’s answer

I have never worked it out officially, but it feels like around 80%. I know I get a good amount more free time than I did as a full timer. Still times where I'm anxious, but I've been freelance since 2011, so I trust that it all works out ☺

Venting. Got hired on FT at a large in-house in NY. Every project I have been assigned to is due immediately, already late, and has no direction. Every project is supremely animation heavy with some hand painted animations… all out of my wheelhouse. None of this was mentioned in my interviews and no one seems to understand why a video editor does not have experience hand painting animations. Seems like a special skill set that should have been discussed before hiring. Confused and burnt out.
