What would you do in this situation? My rockstar coworker had a death in the family and needs to take time off for the funeral. Our Partner gave him a really hard time and is expecting him to join/lead calls on day of the funeral. Obviously I said I would cover but this Partner is pissed and calling him lazy. It’s not really my business but feels so unfair for my coworker.

I’m inheriting a “team” of siloed strong individual developers who are on different work streams and are very jaded and struggling with motivation. Most are contractors. Hi all, I have a question regarding retirement accounts. I am not sure if I should choose a Roth or 401k (company has 4+2% match). Currently 23, base salary is ~100k and investments have brought 45k this year which has me teetering between a 22-24% tax bracket. Wondering what the usual tax bracket is of people retired (around 65yo) as I’m not sure anything would bring in significant income with the exception of investments. In my case would a Roth make sense? Appreciate any answers!!
