I would suggest doing research to see what the average pay for the role is and then you will know if you are being lowballed. You can even ask in there to see what other people are being paid for the role you are interviewing for. If you are being lowballed and even if you aren't, you should negotiate.

Doing whatever research you can, and going by your own experience, what you've been paid previously or currently, can be a useful guideline. It's also good to consider how the company makes its offer. If they are quick to throw out a number and seems like they're eager to get you to agree, that's probably a lowball offer. They'd like you to just say yes before negotiating, as they know it could (or should) be kicked up a bit.

Check salary information on Glassdoor, talk to peers whom you trust and they occupy similar roles, and review job postings from other employers that have similar content (Job Details, NOT just Job Title) and post their salary target.
