I've heard that if you can get posted to the Canadian border it's a pretty good gig but as everyone knows that's not the focus nowadays..

As a lifelong Texas resident I've traveled extensively along the border and through border towns and it's not that appealing. I really couldn't see myself spending a bunch of time down there. I most certainly wouldn't move my family down that way.

I seen what some border patrol agents have permission to do legally to people who cross the border. I can't say what I say. But do your homework before ever putting yourself in that world in Texas. Law enforcement there are different breed. It's highly dangerous, the cartel is active out there. Point of the story if you not ready to eliminate someone dont join. Also carrying dead bodies every day is something your ok with before lunch...go for it

Downloaded the “Days” app. No frills, no extras. Just a number staring you in the face. I’ve made it almost habitual to open and check... even multiple times a day when I know the day counter hasn’t changed, but it’s helping and encouraging. Each day is a sense of accomplishment and a win over the pull of my own thoughts. Forcing my willpower into further restraint. 10 days strong so far.
