How do you navigate a job offer that is contingent on the firm calling professional references? I don’t want to tell my current firm I’m leaving for this other firm until it’s official…which means I can’t use my current bosses as references. I have been with this firm since I graduated law school (5+ years), so I don’t have other legal references. I had a pre-law career…but that was so long ago. I’m not sure what to do…any suggestions?

Is there a way for my visiting parents to be able to get free incoming and outgoing on their Indian sims. They have Airtel and they are charging a lot for incoming and outgoing to Indian numbers. Also is there any pack to call India for free from US Sims ?

I can manage my classroom better if I don’t respond to emails outside of office hours. This gives my mind a break and by consequence refreshes me for the next day. It also sets a boundary.

Only worried about that if I continue here, in process of learning ruby I might have unlearn java. My boss makes jokes about me being from a different country whenever there is a work meeting or a gathering with coworkers, even though he knows where I am from. This usually occurs when I meet new work-related people or for example if I am in a situation that involves ethnic related subjects.
