What's one cost of unemployment that nobody warned you about? Weirdly enough, for me it's the cost of extra gas. Not for interviews, but for things driving the kids to school instead of having them take the bus because now you're available to take them, driving to and from groceries and stuff you used to get delivered, play dates and activities that you don't have an excuse to say no to now.

Worst part about being unemployed is the pity face everyone makes when you tell them. If I hear one more "don't worry you'll find something soon" I'm going to scream. Trying to be helpful is one thing but pitying me helps no one and makes me uncomfortable.
