I helped a friend of a friend fine a job, which was gratifying. It's such a lousy job market now, and the person was having a tough time of it. Turns out a little networking helped to find an opening and they've gotten an offer, so I'm happy for that. It's gratifying when you can help someone who could really use a boost.

I hate how horrible the job market is. I’m currently trying to network and help a couple other people find jobs, but there haven’t been any hits. It feels inspiring to know that at least someone else has been successful
Successfully negotiated an offer for the first time last year. I'm kind of new to the working world (graduated 2021) and accepted my first offer out of college without even thinking to push for more money. After spending enough time on here, I realized that's a big no-no. I asked for 10% more than they offered, they countered at 5% and I accepted almost immediately. I guess I could have held out for more, but I really didn't want to risk losing the offer and was happy enough with the 5% to not push back further.
Ahh that’s amazing!! Congratulations. Negotiating salaries is such a difficult topic, so to get it done so early is such an achievement

I transitioned from a client-facing role to internal-facing only. It’s been the best career move for my mental health… clients can be so mean.

I helped a friend with her resume for a job her mentor wanted her to apply for.
She ended up getting the job and the HR team was thrilled with her “professional” resume. Apparently folks in her small town didn’t really know how to do resumes.
This isn’t even in my field, it was just a creative thing that I like to do. And something in the grand scheme of things that is really small.
Ahh that is amazing! A win for you and a win for your friend. What a lovely feeling that must have been for the both of you! :D
