Agreed. Genuine answers beat robotic ones all day long. I also like to see a candidate's passion/energy, even if it's driven by something unrelated to work. I once had a candidate bring up her food blog and her excitement was infectious.

The first thing I'd tell someone is just to be personable. People want to hire people they'd like to work with, which isn't hard to understand. Beyond that, when you talk about what you've done, have it be in a sensible narrative that people can remember. If you can tell a story about how you've grown and improved in your career, all the better.

I have been talking to a recruiter for a little over a month about a position. I let her know out the gate that I really wasn’t looking to change jobs, but she just kept wanting to continuing the conversation. I didn’t have 2 interviews with the hiring coming and they know that I am not really looking to make a switch. They are now working on an offer letter and I know they’re going to offer me more money. Hii Guys, Could anyone give me some clarity on the below point. I have cleared 2nd round of technical interview at Deloitte, but my candidature is still showing as interview in progress at Deloitte careers page.
