I've been starting to work more in new biz at my agency and the president said in a meeting this afternoon that he wants to increase our close rate to "at least 50%" once we're at the pitch stage.

Hello biz dev folks! How are pitches going? I know summer is upon us but curious if the threat of recession is affecting anyone. I had my first client say they were holding off on an initiative due to that. But it could just be a good excuse. 😂.

Jump ship or stick it out? I’m a 31 y/o SFA with a Fortune 100 and am learning absolutely nothing. I have 9 years FP&A experience. All we get is busywork and no real opportunity to grow or take a more challenging role since they’re dying for SFAs. Do I stick it out for an eventual Manager role so I can be more marketable to a future employer, or try to pivot out of Finance to a new type of role and company now? Has anyone ever left finance (or know someone that has) to do something completely different? My experience is split between FP&A and accounting and while I have progressed, I am becoming depressed b/c I feel like I’m in the wrong field. I am generally a motivated, high performing person, but I al starting to slip up and care less, b/c my work is not satisfying to me. I know I just sound like a complainer, but does anyone have any advice?

Looking to leave my auditing position with only 3 months of experience... I'm in a relatively small firm, and my manager's micromanaging is insane... Want to go into advisory, any advice is welcome.

What are some of the big companies hiring for fintech roles that maybe I could look into? Looking to make a change quickly. Live in Tampa.

Any particular segment of sales good for ex-finance? Pros to EJ: Have my own office, a year or two away from partnership, great office setting and client satisfaction.

Pros to Merrill: Bump in compensation, additional tools and services w banking, ability to take over assets.
