Because it’s LinkedIn?
Look around. People also go to Starbucks because they believe the coffee is good. There’s an army of dumb people with bad taste out there
Yes. Yes they will
It’s a lame joke with a weak misdirect that happens to have the product in it. As for production value, continuity is all over the place.
If you’re gonna use AI to do spec work, choose a brand that doesn’t already make great ads. And do something less obvious than highlighting that the packaging looks like alcohol. Like, hasn’t that already been covered?
Think about it this way: it is perceived as effortless creation by AI, so in that context it is good. Once you say AI, people imagine that it was done without any real human intervention, but they know that they can’t get it to this quality themselves, therefore it is perceived as good.
As someone who tries to do good work, I also make a point of not trashing the work of others. Golden rule and all that.
Yeah, that doesn’t apply to AI (plagiarism).
If it was shot for real, with good acting and pacing, i think it would be a good ad.
At the intersection of liquid death and gen ai you’ll find the nexus of douche baggery

When I saw this spot, I immediately registered for Veo 3 to see if I could achieve something similar… and guess what?
Nothing comes close to the level of production value, casting, etc. of this spot.
Which makes me think it was shot, and they used a little AI here and there.
And if it was entirely generated using AI, it must have taken so many rounds of refinement to arrive at this point, it’s probably more efficient to just do a proper shoot.
It’s fully generated
It’s lousy but people love the brand. Plus it’s LinkedIn.
Rising Star
A lot of people don’t have taste. Also there are a lot of people who desperately want AI to make quality ads because it fits their business model. So they act as if this ad is executed well.
Rising Star
Yes. Also, I’ve met a lot of great creatives and none of them formulate loud opinions on Linkedin.
