Why is there a pharma stigma for art directors? Isn’t the work the same? I’ve interviewed at Wieden twice(post pharma) yet no other agencies will even look at my book. I’m very confused
As junior struggling to get a job, I see my classmates get jobs at Wieden and Droga while I can barely get anyone to speak to me and I know it’s bad but I can’t help but wonder where I went wrong.
Droga who? Wieden what? I wanna work at Ryan’s agency...just as soon as I figure out what it’s really called. Just one hit after another. Literally. https://youtu.be/PqW3NwZu8Kc
Im triggered when I hear the word “widen” I’m because I know I’ll never work at Wieden, much less get in the building...
If you were lucky enough to get a job at Wieden, is it expected that you would get a drastic pay cut?
Last week, Wieden won McDonald’s. This week, they win an Emmy for “Dream Crazy”. There’s ad agencies and then there’s WK, killing it on all fronts.
So who won the McDonald’s biz? Like legit, steady work. Chiat LA? Wieden NY? Who officially killed Unlimited? And how does Wieden manage the “we also have KFC” thing?
The irony in Wieden + Kennedy making a spot that basically says, "Your dream ad job is only one ANDY away," when they themselves dgaf about any award in books. https://youtu.be/-q3gNWzhnTQ
Most of us agree Wieden is number 1. IYO who rounds out the top 3 agencies rn in terms of quality of work?
Pick: 1. Stay the most sought after creative team on great projects at an average shop? 2. Or being an average team at Wieden?
Any creative here works or worked at Wieden? Can you please share with us how you first landed the gig?🙏🏼 I’ve been sending my book over 6 years straight, and they don’t even click on my link...
Wieden+Kennedy please learn what a frequency cap is and stop serving me Ford commercials on Hulu.
