Im triggered when I hear the word “widen” I’m because I know I’ll never work at Wieden, much less get in the building...
If you were lucky enough to get a job at Wieden, is it expected that you would get a drastic pay cut?
Any creative here works or worked at Wieden? Can you please share with us how you first landed the gig?🙏🏼 I’ve been sending my book over 6 years straight, and they don’t even click on my link...
Last week, Wieden won McDonald’s. This week, they win an Emmy for “Dream Crazy”. There’s ad agencies and then there’s WK, killing it on all fronts.
So who won the McDonald’s biz? Like legit, steady work. Chiat LA? Wieden NY? Who officially killed Unlimited? And how does Wieden manage the “we also have KFC” thing?
Pick: 1. Stay the most sought after creative team on great projects at an average shop? 2. Or being an average team at Wieden?
Most of us agree Wieden is number 1. IYO who rounds out the top 3 agencies rn in terms of quality of work?
Thoughts on KFC buying a slot at an EDM festival and have Colonel Sanders DJ a set? Wieden - is this you? https://www.facebook.com/561927950501658/posts/2531012133593220?sfns=mo
Wieden+Kennedy please learn what a frequency cap is and stop serving me Ford commercials on Hulu.
Does anyone know where Wieden+Kennedy posts jobs? Am I just missing it? 😖 I saw they have a general career opportunities email too...any tips??
I would love for someone to explain the appeal of wieden and kennedy. I know its a great agency but I want to know what makes its so great. Cheers
I am so upset with W+K. Travelled from Germany to Amsterdam to attend a portfolio review there in hopes of getting a job. Turns out the Wieden "art director" i showed my book to was actually an intern
Aside from the obvious financial factor, hypothetically speaking, would it really make a difference if Wieden lost Nike at this point given they do good work on just about every account they touch?
Like a lot of folks on here, working at Wieden+Kennedy is one of my big life goals. Can some of the W+K folks share how they got in? Did you have lots of awards? How did you stand out?
For a first job in advertising, would you rather go to a place like Wieden or to a startup agency with amazing CDs, where you’re almost guaranteed to produce a lot of work and have great mentors?
