What’s your favorite IDE? I know it can often be language dependent so maybe IntelliJ for Java?

Recently got my CPA license in August & considering leaving public accounting for Industry. Should I expect my new role to pay for my CPA license renewals/AICPA membership/CPE classes? These things add up &I feel like should be considered when transitioning. Thoughts?

It's been just 2 months that I am working as a Manager in my company. But I'm really confused.
I was working vey hard and dedicated for past two years. But instead of giving a good raise, thay gave me a Position. I do really love this position and my work. But because of the poor salary, I don't know how much longer I'll be working here.

Getting a bit stir crazy. Any recommendations for a 4-5 day relaxing trip within driving distance?

Planning a weekend excursion to upstate New York, preferably somewhere on a lake within 3 hours of Morristown, NJ. Recommendations for a location close to nice dining/winery/brewery spots? Ideally don’t want to spend more than $500 for the weekend including lodging.

What’s a good baseline amount to keep in a checking account? I generally keep mine pretty low <1000 after paying CCs then dump the rest in savings. As I’m building a rainy day fund and then I will start contributing my brokerage account.
