What’s your state doing to advance equity in edu? In CA we talk a lot about equity at the student/class levels, but aren’t addressing issues around financial equity and cultural equity in schools.

Does anyone have a preferred car service company? There is this big bank where I'd love to work at, and after several interviews for various positions they end up promoting someone from within, even thou I understand it and think it’s good they promote their people, it left me feeling like I'm just being used to comply with the process.

What is the average teaching salary in your state? I’m a 1st year teacher at a public charter making $52k/year. I’m interested in teaching in Los Angeles upon leaving Texas.

What are your thoughts on the term, person of color? It tends to be controversial at times. Do you prefer something more specific? I personally prefer "Black" for myself.
