What’s your weekend ritual to prepare for a new work week? I usually try to spend as much time as I can with family and then turn in early Sunday night to wake up rested on Monday.

I always plan on Sunday being a nice, relaxing, and productive day. But it always ends up being a chaotic and busy day anyway. Between church, the kids activities, trying to get enough laundry done to function, doing homework and errands… It's never as relaxing as I plan on it being.

A lovely bath and tidy my room. I love having clean hair and a clean relaxing area ready for the week. Then getting in bed with a hot chocolate, do it every single Sunday :D

On Sundays I have a pretty standard routine. I usually go get my car washed, pick up groceries and a coffee, and then come home and clean up my apartment. I like to prep everything for the week and get it ready and then try to hit the hay early.

I tried to decompress a little on Sunday nights. Relax my mind to prepare for a new week. But I’m not somebody who dreads Mondays so I’m not too worried about relaxing too much on Sundays.

Any advice on a first year trying to transition from family law to in-house? I always thought family law was my path, and used to enjoy it, but it’s not the direction I want to head in anymore. I don’t think I even want to continue with any litigation work. I’m having a hard time finding firms that are hiring entry level associate positions that don’t require at least 3+ years experience in-house. Should I start at a business law firm to get experience working with corporations first?

Seeking advice: I am a young sales consultant and sales engineer working for a tech startup company. I have 6 years of sales experience. And I have been helping run my family business for the past 10 years. I was intially interviewed for a senior account executive position at a $70k offer. Instead they told me I needed more training and hired me as a Junior account executive at a $50k salary + commission. Today is my 6th month mark and I have done very well. And no talks of a promotion / raise..
