Which certification we would you recommend for career advancement to be an HR manager? PHR or SHRM? Any other certification I should consider? Pros and cons would be greatly appreciated!

My life's first interview after graduation in HR is for the Recruiter post in " Concentrix". I am a bit nervous because I don't wanna miss this opportunity so please my fellow seniors give me some tips and advice for my first interview. I will really appreciate that. Thank you

Went on a final interview today and the interviewer yawned through my presentation, was so BRUTAL with feedback, and was just super low-energy. This dude picked apart my entire presentation and frowned through all of it. Up until this point, everyone that I interviewed with said the presentation was great, but some things that need improvement. I just don’t understand how it’s normal that it’s expected that you make presentations and work for free— just to have someone take a huge shit on you.

I’m taking the SHRM-CP exam today and I’m pretty nervous. I’ve been studying for three months but somehow it still feels like it wasn’t enough. Any words of encouragement?

Hi - I am pretty sure I will receive an offer for a university HR role paying at least 150K. The recruiter says "everyone here pretty much " works from home. I need a remote position for a number of reasons.. I'm concerned because the job posting says its a hybrid role. I am not that interested in the position itself but the money is great, it is a dir. position and it would advance my career. I'm willing to come in for meetings but hybrid is out of the question. Any suggestions?

Why is it so hard to find a remote HR position? I have my SHRM-SCP, my MBA and over 10 years of experience being an HR Manager.

Recently, our client has decided to retract their job offer to a newly hired candidate who is currently rendering his notice period and is already on his last day with his current employer. This is because they have changes internally that have affected the new hiring. I really feel frustrated, guilty, and awful for the candidate. We are already down to the final steps of the onboarding process and should have been his first day next week. (Cont.)

Curious to what an average salary for a IT Account Manager is? I feel I am underpaid (50K base). My yearly quota is $700,000 and I have hit that in the first 7 months. I do make 10% of what I sell. I also think that my colleagues who have not performed to the level I have make much more on base than I do. Any thoughts/advice?

Looking for insights from any seller at any of the hold co’s. I have an opportunity to join a new team at a hold co but I’m not sure if it will be a great move to make. I’m doing very well where I am, book of biz is thriving, but the allure of working at a larger company than my small company seems like a great resume builder. I’m not sure where I want to be in 5 years, but this seems like a good way to make myself more appealing. I’ll have to rebuild my book of biz, which means pay cut.

Looking for career advice. 8 total YOE and 3 1/2 in sales specifically. Just over 3 YOE with an industrial IoT company selling mostly hardware and some custom software solutions and occasionally cloud connectors as an inside sales engineer. I'm about to finish an Enterprise software sales internship at IBM but will need to find a job as a contingency in case things don't work out. Hey guys! I graduated from a tech SDR program in March & have been struggling to land a fully remote SDR position within the salary range I need. I was able to land a part time SDR position but hardly any compensation for me to quit my side job. Anybody recommend any tech companies actively hiring right now? Established company or Start Up - which would you chose?

Rallied hard this year, but feeling really burned out. I have a few weeks of vacation left and I really need a reset before another year of chasing my number. If you had 3 weeks of vacation left would you - take every Monday and Friday off from Nov 1 until Dec 15 or take a week at a time separately? Or something else? The last two weeks of the year will be really quiet anyway, so no need to use PTO.

I have 3 year experience working at Deloitte Consulting and want to move on to a Sales role and Career. I currently make $110K, is this feasible comp to make starting out in Sales?. How can I learn about comp in your industry?

Besides the comp question, are there any resources/forums/books online that anyone can recommend that’ll get me a good understand of what to expect out of a sales role, different sales roles, how to succeed, build career, etc. Im starting from 0

I joined one of the big4 in September, the project they have alloted me is not the same that they have told at the time of joining.
I am expecting an offer from other company, i am not sure about how it is going to affect my cv and profile.
Please suggest, should i stick with my current company or look forward to different offer.

Should I be investing money in 401k? International here under OPT and have been hearing that if I decide to not stay in the US/don’t get the visa, i would need to retire the funds and pay a 10% penalty. Any thoughts? Can I just leave my money int he US if I go back home and take it out at 60?

I have 50k in emergency fund. Is it too much?
