Agree with officer. Try to suss out the range for the role instead of providing one of your own. If that's impossible, I'd go a little wider. 10% or thereabouts from the bottom end seems right to me. $120-$135k in your example.

I usually give between $15-20k in range
That’s what I’m starting to learn toward too.
I keep it as vague as possible let them say a number first if possible but i usually also say it depends on other things like insurance commute etc.

I’m usually giving between 5-7k. Shows I’m flexible, but I don’t want to negotiate within a huge range. Guess it depends on what your goal is with the new job.
