I commuted there from NW DC which was not fun. Most people will say Arlington if you don’t care much about being in a “real” place and don’t mind being surrounded by 22 yo frat bros but still want some restaurants/bars and access to dc. If you don’t care about nightlife and dc, Reston town center is much cheaper and doesn’t totally sacrifice things to do. Dating prospects will be much better the closer you are to dc
Clarendon has the TJs, and Courthouse is slightly cheaper.
Young professional, single M30, and occasionally go on dates. My main priorities are having fast-delivery and a variety of cuisines on UberEats, as well as a Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods within walking distance. Love cafes, museums, nature and culture scenes, but these are not top priorities - since I prefer making my life more convenient first.
Should I rent near Foggy Bottom-GWU or Virginia Square-GMU? The commute from Foggy Bottom-GWU to McLean would add about 10 minutes each way. Or is there a better option along the Silver Line?
I’d appreciate any advice and insights. Thanks!
What’s your budget? There are a few options. There’s Vita which is within walking distance of Tysons Corner station. There’s Rise which is within walking distance of Greensboro station and has Whole Foods, etc
I’m looking for a studio or junior 1-bedroom. It doesn’t need to be in a fancy new building. My budget is a maximum of $2,500, but I’m aiming for around $2,000–$2,200 if that’s realistic? I’m a minimalist and prioritize convenience (train and walking to grocery store), food delivery, and the gym.
I would look at the Arlington area
