Candidate C: 15-20 years exp. w/minimal technical skills and reluctant to try new processes or learn new technology.

Hi Everyone! Any advice for breaking into Merchandising? My current company isn’t enabling me to gain the necessary experience or grow into that career field, but it’s what I’ve wanted since I decided to enter the industry. It’s also so difficult to get a job in merchandising if you don’t already have experience. How can I get there?

I was on costing calls with my Vendors until 3am negotiating costs and had to be up at 6 am for a call with Pakistan vendors. Only to then work a full day and have another late night call tonight … it doesn’t end. 🫣
