I love a positive crazy customer story. No doubt a lot of wild interactions when working with the general public. I used to work in a normally non-tipped position and every once in a while somebody would offer me a few dollars and it’s sweet of them. I was a cashier and could not put money in my pocket so I always directed them to the charity box.
That’s such a great moment. I once helped a customer find alternatives after her size was out of stock. We actually found her perfect pair after like 3 hours lol, and she thanked me for being so patient and kind and gave me a tip even though my company didnt' accept tips. Going the extra mile can pay off sometimes, literally
How nice is that? I guess when I think "crazy customer story," I think of negative experiences only, so I greatly appreciate the fresh perspective and making me think crazy good instead.
That's great to hear, it's always nice seeing someone get rewarded for going above and beyond for the customer. I've had a few try to tip me over the years. It meant a lot to me, even though I had to turn it down because company policy doesn't allow any of us to accept tips.
