PLTR is crushing it the past two weeks.
Hi Fishes, I grabbed an offer at Accenture with 12 LPA fixed for Level 9. I'm not getting a retention offer from my current company at 13.5 lpa. How do I go about a counter offer with Accenture HR? Also tell me how to approach this situation smoothly.
If HR doesn't fulfill the counter offer, is it ok to accept 12 lpa fixed for Level 9 and when will I get a hike here and how much would it be approximately?

I'm with you, I make a point to keep my laptop and email closed until Monday morning. If someone sends me an email over the weekend and gets huffy that I don't respond until I'm back at work, that's on them. They have my number if it's truly an emergency.
Exactly! They get far more than 60 hours of my work each week and I will not give them anymore of me or my time to do work of any kind on weekends!

I wish I could be that determined about putting in the extra time. I always plan on leaving early, but then I get caught up in something and end up staying.
I’ve learned that people will always have different expectations about communication. But I also know that if I don’t guard my personal time, I burn out fast. So when someone gets a little snippy about a delayed reply, I try not to take it personally.
I don't check mine. When I leave work, I leave work. It will be there Monday.
You do not need to respond to emails on the weekends. That's your free time, not working time.
Oh, I check emails and grade over the weekend. I don’t know how people keep up with their schedule without doing some work over the weekends. Anyone can maybe I need to get better at time management I don’t know.
Have you tried grading your papers at school?? Like grade the work before school begins, or stay late 1 evening to get it done ✔️
I try not to do anything at home! I make an exception for emails depending on the person. My special education director sends emails at all hours of the night, but she has made it very clear to sped teachers that she’s busy and sends emails when she has time. She’s told our department that she doesn’t want us responding outside of contract hours. If it’s a gen ed teacher emailing about plans, I send a quick reply right away! Most everything else can wait until the next day when I’m at school.
I simply say I don’t work weekends and don’t check my email.
I only do it if I get behind in planning, SpEd paperwork, or report writing. I try hard to leave work at work.
I think it's so important to set boundaries. It's really easy to burn out when you have no personal time. Just be respectful and kind when telling others .
