I’m not taking the fork deal. But I have toyed with the idea of going back to a firm. I only started a few months ago so I have a loooong way to go until my probationary period is up, and as much as I love the work and the mission at my agency, putting up with all of this uncertainty for half the pay and 5 day RTO seems like a raw deal.
It should be said that this is obviously the opposite of what OPM’s saying. Their word salad emails say you can get a new job and work during leave.
I have another year of pslf. Going to hold on for dear life and then bounce

I work in National Security. Nevertheless, I still receive every fork email, probably because it's more efficient to send it to everyone rather than figure out who should receive it.
I can’t take the fork deal and still get a new job because I’m in govcon and you can’t litigate against the government while on admin leave. So I’m just leaving
