Why are firms insisting on staff being back in the office when we all did our jobs great remotely for 2.5 years?? When we’re in the office the attorneys sit in their offices with the doors shut and email us anyway. Just let people work where they want to.

I’ve worked 2 years at a non profit 501c 3 tech startup. When I started there were 6 employees we now have 22. I am considered a part of leadership and am a people manager in addition to my sales role. I am a high performer and last year got a 10% raise (which I asked for). This year I was offered 5%. I am going to counter but curious what anyone thinks I should ask for. I was thinking 8%.
