Internships > school name > gpa > extracurriculars imo
Generally it’s like 3.5 being the cut off depending on firm
I’m from a non target school. Had a 3.7 when I graduated and no internships. Although I did try to launch a startup while in school and I failed, we were able to build a team of 5 people, from 3 different countries, and a an app that was very well developed and honestly ready for market. Never got the chance to take it further though, thanks to a lack of further resources (did it all with nothing). I guess that counted as my “internship”
If you’re recruiting out of undergrad, they won’t they much about your experience
I would say:
gpa > school name > internships and / extra curricular (a balanced combo of is better); there are successful candidates without good internship experiences. If you’re from a non target school, it would help to a great gpa and relevant internship / extra curricular.
I think generally gpa cutoff > experience > involvements
