I spent years and years trying to wake up early, so take it from me when I say the only thing that works is to work it up slowly. Whatever time you wake up now, try to wake up just 15 minutes before that. Do that for a week. Then take it up to 30 mins before. And then an hour. Until you've started waking up at the time you think is good enough for you to have some mental peace in the morning before the chaos kicks in. Train your body to get there, don't just force it.
Adding in something money related can help! (i.e., if you schedule a 7am workout class, and can't cancel, hopefully you'll be motivated to not waste that money). Also this isn't a routine per se but the first thing I do when I wake up is drink a half glass of water bc I never seem to remember how dehydrated I get overnight
I like Deloitte's idea of having something on the line to force you to wake up. The biggest and most obvious way to wake up earlier is by going to sleep earlier. This has always been hard for me, but at this point I know if I want to be up at 5, I need to be in bed by 9. Creating a sleep routine has helped with this. Phone on the charger at 9, TV off, and 30 minutes of reading a physical book before turning off the lights.
Well thankfully I take aderrall for ADHD so that is my trick. I get up when my cats wake me up which is very early and I immediately take my meds and then let them wake me up. I don't know how anyone else is doing it because I am not a morning person at all.
