I've been a solo for nearly 20 years and built a small firm from the ground up. Now my practice (5 lawyers plus support staff, total 13 people) is being eyed by a midsize firm. They want me to keep building what I've been doing, except with their resources behind me. It sounds like a wonderful opportunity, but I'm torn over giving up what I built.

Has anyone gone from solo (and a mildly successful solo doing super meaningful work) to a larger firm? I see a lot of posts going the other way.

I’ve had a nagging headache the last few weeks but not bad enough to take OTC meds. The last four days or so it has gotten worse and I’m now taking Aleve or IB Profen which haven’t helped much. Taxpayers are abused the most in this country across the globe. It’s frustrating to see that only 1.5% of Indian population pay direct income tax, still govt. is milking them like anything and unable to do anything for these taxpayers. I’m paying 1 lakh tax every month, and what’s my return, 🔔🔔🔔,

If a tax payer loses his job , govt. is not even paying even few thousands for unemployment allowance, who have been paying lacs to government as tax. What’s your thoughts on Indian taxation?
