S1 audit at a midsize firm looking out of public accounting.. my biggest thing right now is having a better work life balance. I hate the busy season hours and just looking for a way out.
I’ve been looking into internal audit but i know that could be boring.. not sure what other fields would suit someone of my experience.

Definitely took the wrong job. I was offered a seriously competitive salary and great benefits to work at a well funded startup, which is great! Turns out the salary and benefits were meant as lowkey bribes to insure I worked at the company without actually doing any work. Every single suggestion I've made has been shut down and I've been ghosted for several meetings with the CEO. What should I do? Just leave?

I interviewed with capgemini for SAP ABAP role and my YOE is 4 years. Just 2 hours after my interview, I got a call from someone at Capgemini saying that I am selected.
They just asked my notice period and current location.I asked them, what is the next round going to be and they said that it is going to be salary discussion. But till now, no one has reached out to me.
Does it mean they got another candidate for same job?
If they get back to me, how much should I ask?

Any of the larger production companies you generally try to stay away from? I know it’s all about the best talent for the creative, but which shops are a massive headache to you? 😊

What’s the level of evidence of review needed for controls that are not management review controls (MRC)? I’m an internal auditor and I’m documenting what is needed for lower risk controls in the SOX environment.

Does management need to have review
comments or checklist even for low or medium risk controls? And should I document those? Thanks!

I’m approaching YE compensation discussions and was curious to see what folks/the industry are paying for institutional middle-market sales/distribution/business-development roles. I have 3yrs of experience with the same firm and am currently working as a sales analyst for the institutional sales team in NA. Has anyone found roles in Big 4 or industry that allowed more work life balance when their kids were young without damaging future career trajectory? I'm a partner with young kids and feel like I'm missing out on too much of their lives. Wishful, but my dream job would have a lighter workload in terms of time and pressure for the next ~5 years, but not set me back too much (or at all) when the kids are older and tired of me in a few years and I'm ready to be back at work full force.
