Hi all, I currently work for a mid-size non profit after graduating from university last May. My main role is recruiting, but I really would like to move to the ER side. My degree is not in HR, so I was going to stay at this role for a year to start working on my SHRM. Does anybody have any tips on moving into more ER related roles from recruiting? Thank you!

I’m currently doing portfolio opps at a solid UMM shop, but exploring making a change (potentially to a bigger firm where there’s more career progression). I was recruited to my current role, and am wondering how others in portfolio opps are finding new opportunities. It seems like most of them recruit vs. post jobs. Any insights are appreciated!

My company covers in depth results each week, including meetings set/attended, wins, revenue, retention etc. I feel as if evaluating in such depth is detrimental to the psyche, as you never get to “ride the high.” In addition, some weeks are simply slower than others, and it’s not always representative of what the results at the end of the period or quarter will be. Is this not a big deal, and I’m I placing too much importance on it? Or is it beneficial to review results less frequently?

Curious what the base and commission structure is for inside sales and associate director of sales in biotech (also anyone else who wants to share pls put industry). Paid hourly or salary? At the biotech company I work at avg inside sales is $62,632 with a $3500 per quarter cap. Commission structure is % based on sales quota reached vs capped (not a direct % of sales). I’m underpaid at $53000 with $3500 cap per quarter.

Is it just me or do your white corporate colleagues act almost scared of you and unsure how to interact? I’m a medium sized woman, polite, introverted. Makes no sense
