12 years in HR and I avoid drama as much as I can - there's already so much of it just being in HR. My director has a few obvious favorites and while I'm "top talent" in the organization, I'm not a "pet" of theirs. It's a giant popularity contest, and that's not my style. I don't need to have the spotlight, complain constantly, or cause drama to do my job well. But now I'm pretty much capped out because of it. Any advice? I've already communicated my concerns and they've fallen on deaf ears...

I feel you, even I was feeling a bit stressed out at work lately because of the constant battle of fairness. I have spoken up and it’s just disappointing that even your boss, the Head of People is bias and has her favorites. 😒
By the way, I am a consultant for a non-profit but it’s a side gig. I am referring to my permanent role as a People Partner.
I think it’s only enough that you’ve raised your concerns. It’s up to them to take it or leave it and that is out of our control. Just hang in there because eventually they will realize that you’ve been right all along.
