$2550 studio east village 6th floor walk up, south facing - worth it? I’m currently living in an elevator building, 3rd floor, Chelsea, but get absolutely no light so I’m desperate for natural lighting. Is $2550 too much for a walk up studio (also no laundry)

Definitely worth it if it’s a nicer space. Those stairs sound brutal though

Depends on the size. Essentially, you are paying for the location.

Hello

I’m looking to to get into the tech industry. I’ve worked in construction 10+ years and have recently obtained a BSBA, CSM and PMP. Any advice? I’d like to learn the basics what developers do the in the outs so if hired I’d actually be a valuable team member. Should I try DEV boot camp or something similar?

So I have been seeing a guy for 4 months. We have a pay disparity.. he earns less than I do (by quite a bit). He has mentioned a few times that he’s worried I’ll get bored of him when I know he can’t afford the same things I can. I think we are beginning to move past this, but now he’s starting to mention things like ‘I am really broke this month’, and last weekend he told me his mum has lost her job and he’ll have to probably pay her rent. I have a lot of sympathy for his situation … tbc

Is this legal?
My partner and I are moving out of our condo building in NYC at month end, and the building management (not our landlord) has communicated to us that, on top of the 1K non-refundable fee and 1K security deposit to move out (stated in lease), they are also issuing a $1,250 "sanitization fee" for the public areas (hallways/elevators), since we happen to be moving out during COVID19. We feel this is taking advantage of tenants during this time and may not be legal. Any advice helps!
