Hi ,I have been interviewed and selected in S&P Global .salary almost negotiated and waiting for the offer letter to release. But seems like they are not willing to release the offer because of my 90 np . They are asking to join by 60 days but initially I told them my NP is 90. Even I am ready to take the 60 days offer but now they are not releasing offer as they want assurance. Now they are not picking calls.seems like i will loose the offer. Is there anything can be done.

Unpopular opinion: You’re not cut out for NYC if you let this scare you. There’s 3 million subway rides a day and how many incidents? I’d bet it’s safer than than driving.
Literally no OM lmao. Theres so many incidents that the subways have their own police stationed. I have been robbed on a subway in the middle of the day….
I would not commute on the subway or rely on it to get around NYC. Look into citibike for commuting?
I think this could work at least during spring/summer/fall! Not a great cyclist but def worth looking into, thank you😊
I’m a New Yorker. I ride the subway everyday between BK and Midtown. Just stay hyper vigilant. If you absolutely want to live without the subway, find an apt in as straight of a shot to your office as possible (I.e. Harlem apt for a Tribeca office) and get a bicycle or scooter. There are bike lanes everywhere, waterfront park passages etc. For the summer I rented an Unagi scooter and take the ferry from BK. Also consider ride share with other employees. In the end, if you want the job bad enough, you can figure out the commute.
Yes. People are getting stabbed and attacked every day. Tried to live somewhere walking distance and find roommates to make it more affordable
It’s a bad idea to commute via subway because of reliability issues, not safety tbh.
That makes sense!! Thank you for raising this point.
Someone slashed your friend’s head in the !NYC subway for no reason and it wasn’t in the news? Is this real?
I take the subway all the time at all times, am female, never had any issues.
Yes, because you got lucky these things have literally been happening every day
Maybe somewhere close to a bus stop near your office. Bus has been more preferred mode of transport as of late
