Thinking about buying a house in La Mirada and start a family soon. Any thoughts on La Mirada area?

Is it possible not having a car in LA and still getting around safely? I‘m European and used to superb public transport, but I don’t want to use public transport at night and running the risk of being robbed or murdered! Any suggestions?

Hello! I’m from South Carolina and I was wondering if there was any media companies/ productions that are currently hiring PA’s or entry level workers fully remote? I would love to work in LA more than anything, but I can’t afford to move there which means I’ll just have to stick it out in South Carolina for some time. Tips for recovering from a bad interview at an awesome company? 😣 I already got the news that they’re not moving forward, yet can’t stop obsessing over the mistakes that most likely cost me an offer.

Anyone who is ex-consulting and moved to industry miss the events? I don't miss the lack of WLB, but I miss getting tickets to conferences, team events and DU.
Pandemic has been good and bad, since I guess no one is going anywhere, but also because industry office is closed so no in-house events either. Miss getting varied experiences across different clients and industries that consulting offered.
Anyone else feel like their world shrunk a ton when they left consulting for industry?
