3-4 years ago very few people would have turned down an interview with Amazon. Even with the rumors about the culture.

Just having that name on your resume + the RSUs would have been too much to resist for most folks. Nowadays, Amazon’s recruiters can’t get interviews with top performers.

This is the manifestation of what many predicted, strict RTO will not work for top/in demand talent. Those people will simply choose a different employer who offers remote work.
