$400 an hour? Not even a law clerk is that cheap! 🤣

Anyone have experience working CWX side of Facebook (Meta) ? These are the full time contract roles that potentially turn into permanent roles directly with Facebook (Meta). Had a recruiter reach out and offering me comparable TC and such, just curious if anyone has experience in these roles and success/failure of transitioning into permanent role. Thanks in advance!
What's the salary range for a director at the Gilead Sciences foundation? There is a position perfect for me, but I don't want to throw my hat in the ring if starting salary isn't $180-190k. Also, any thoughts on the stability of their philanthropic commitment? There's talk of a recession; I don't want to go private to be cute a few months later.

I’m a first year at a V20 who doesn’t know anything and bill $630 an hour lol
I mean, it depends on the market you’re in.
Really? What’s the cheapest you’ve seen? I’m a full fledged 3rd year attorney billing at $350/hour.

I know legal assistants that bill more than that.
I’m a second year in Atlanta and bill $225 lol
^ similar to me at my first job, small firm
God I hate insurance defense. Anyone have any lateral spots open???
If it makes you feel any better. I have one that is $115…
$135 in Workers’ Comp and my firm expects me to bring in $400,000 a year
Yep. And the insurance companies constantly cut our hours. It’s not a very sustainable model.
$1,200 as 4th year here
As an in-house counsel who hires outside counsel, I cannot fathom the thought of paying anybody $1,200/hr, let alone a fourth-year.
1st year divorce attorney charging $150 (state minimum)
I believe it is set by both statute and the court.
$115 an hour for insurance defense on an e and o policy 😂😂😂

Mechanics charge more than that. You should have went to a trade school !
Depends on region. Can’t get a legal secretary for that rate in coastal cities, but can get dept chair / partner in Midwest for that rate.
Can confirm, from Arkansas
