41 years old, 21 years of experience, and 13 years with the same company. I'm a Solution Architect in telecom, earning around ₹45 LPA.

I genuinely enjoy my work—I don't watch the clock and love solving problems. My only concern is that after 13 years in one company, I have no idea where I stand in today's market.

If you were in my position, would you stay because you enjoy the work, or test the market to understand your value?

Honestly considering the instability in market, i feel this is not the right time to explore your potential. Till this AI bubble breaks. Lets hope to save our jobs. Already competetion is too high in market as people from top companies are available out there. Mid size companies are grabbing their chance to hire them asap. They are prioritizing them over any other talent with 60 days notice period over immediate joiners. You have lot of expirience but right now a family man should have a stable job, thats completely personal perspective.

Thumb rule for minimum CTC.
YoE * 3= CTC.
So yours muat be above 60 LPA minimum

10 years getting 17lpa.Here thumb rule fails? Or If person is not earning YOE*3 then that person cannot lead comfortable life with the family? What in case if layoffs happens? It depends on skills domain and situation and financial condition.Situation is not same for everyone.I know many people in India earning 10-15lpa for 15 plus years of experience.
