A common question: Do part-time or full-time roles pay more overall?

Part-time often offers higher hourly rates and scheduling flexibility.

Full-time typically provides stability, benefits, and growth opportunities.

What’s your perspective on balancing pay and career progression?

I just need enough to pay my bills. Part time would mean I need 2 jobs.

This depends on the company and the amount of hours. In most cases, people will need 2+ jobs, in order to live. Also, it depends on if you can live off of just one income. Personally, I am doing 4 things that brings in income. You can’t live off of just one income these days.

I'm a recent grad who accepted an entry-level full-time job offer with Capital One. I knew that MBB and other consulting firms rarely ever negotiate salary with new grads, so I didn't with Capital One as well. Was that a mistake? What were the likelihoods that they would have raised my salary? I had no other competing offers at the time

I am starting a "Salary transparency thread". Please post your level e.g. L4/L5 and salary. Let's make sure everyone is fairly paid and can take a stand in the upcoming appraisal cycle !

What are realistic expectations for 3rd Year Analyst / Direct Promote Associate bonus range at a BB? Note that at MS, 2nd year bonuses in my group last year were 90-115K, while MBA associates received a pro-rated 90K stub (~40k). Personally would be pretty unhappy to take a pay cut between 2nd and 3rd year…
