Depends on the work. I would be frustrated and disappointed too, but I guess it depends on the situation. Sometimes even work things are unavoidable and you really don’t have that much of a choice. I wouldn’t be volunteering for anything, but would understand at the end of the day if things come up. Reschedule for something better!

That’s a fair point. Some situations are unavoidable, even when it’s frustrating. I’d still be disappointed, but I get that work obligations can be unpredictable. Think my friend rescheduled for Sunday night instead.

That's disappointing and frustrating, but those things can happen. Some people work in jobs where the can get called away and have to miss family events, or, like this, a significant day. I suppose if you work in that type of position, and it's not feasible to get out of the work commitment, it's just something you have to accept. I would try to rearrange things, but I accept that sometimes it's just not possible.

Yeah, that’s the really frustrating part for my friend. Her husband almost never travels for work, and of all days, 2/14 is the one time he’s away! I get that work commitments can be unavoidable, but the timing just makes it extra disappointing,

I’m struggling. I left an agency I liked last year due to growth limitations and since then I’ve worked at 2 different agencies and can’t seem to find my footing. The first one seemed like a good fit at first but then it turned out to not be the best place for me so I left. At my current agency I feel super undervalued. I’m always raising my hand and offering to help where I can and no matter what I do, I don’t feel utilized or valued or part of the team.It’s really taken a toll on my confidence
