I agree with you in theory. Time SHOULD always be more important than money. But while it's great that that manager was able to turn down the extra money, there are a lot of people who can't afford to, and I'm not going to judge them for it. You've got to do what you've got to do to get by.

Makes sense. It does go back to priorities and what someone would choose based on their priority. For me it’s always been my family and friends
The scenario you describe makes a lot of sense. Jobs like that may pay well, but there's a definite downside. If you've got a family, it seems like a waste to spend time in airports and boring hotel rooms.

I agree! Choosing worklife balance over a bigger paycheck is so important. You can always earn more money, but you can't get back time with loved ones.
