I work at an association where they have to report the top 10 highly paid employees. Saw that my peer w/ same years of experience is making $70k more than me. I wish I had never seen this information-it has put a horrible twist in my gut and a lot of resentment. Before seeing this info, I had asked my boss for a raise based on the success I've had over the past 8 years but have only gotten 4% bump per year. What can I reasonably ask/expect ? 20%? Do I mention the disparity if boss lowballs?
