TCS is the worst company one can be in.
Cheap mindset management cares more about timesheet,wfo,forceful mandatory trainings,imposing strict restrictions on laptop,access to personal docs only via vpn,no employee well being no salary hikes nth at all.90% projects filled with freshers coz they cost less.No WLB for good dedicated hard working employees as they are punished with more and more work, leaves rewards mostly for people who don’t work.But no issues kyunki job security hai 😂

As long he doesn’t have you working in those 5 minutes I guess you are good . But still my work starts the time I clock in , he or she cannot force u to come earlier
my work doesn’t specify how early to come in but has multiple signs stating your shift start time is when you clock in and start working, not when you come in to put bags away etc
Makes sense to me
I expect that if your shift starts at 8 that you are ready to run your station at 8. Not walking in, punching in, using the restroom, going to the locker room, applying lotion, finding your name tag, apron, thermometer then getting to your station. You are in charge of how long it takes you to be ready, just have it done by your schedule time. I worked at an airport, we needed 20 min from the walk from employee parking, to the terminal, go through TSA, go to the locker room...etc.
