My kid is turning 3 and Idk if he is old enough to fully enjoy the Bluey’s big play tbh 😅
Wait until his milk teeth start falling out so he can fit in with the players
Entirely kid dependent. Why not go to a college game or something first, see is he likes it?
There are HS/College level games at Abe Stark in Coney Island, as an example. If you just want him to get a taste for being at a rink when it’s no hassle if he wants to get up and run around.
My oldest was 6 before he liked watching a full game, my middle would sit still and watch a whole game from 4 years old. But he had been going to his brother’s games for a while.
You may want to start getting him into skating at the learn to play programs at Chelsea Piers :)
I started taking kids to college and pro sporting events at age of 3.
Hockey has been the best one and is their favorite. I think hockey periods are the right amount of time for their attention span, and it's simpler for kids to understand than football or baseball. On the plus side for me, I felt like I was missing way less game action at hockey than other sports
The kids are older now (9 and 6) and hockey is still their favorite to go to and they only one they really have interest in watching on TV
Took my oldest to the Winter Classic when he was 6 and we had a blast. The downside it that he still asks why every game isn't outside, lol
Lower level leagues (AHL) are cheaper and more enjoyable from a between periods entertainment perspective. Your kid might like it better.
Rising Star
Are there any farm league games nearby? They can be much cheaper and easier to get tickets for.
We started with College exhibitions (university of Minnesota on the glass for $15 a seat) also high school hockey in my area is fire and entertains my small ones just as much as the Wild
