Although, I am thankful for my annual raises within my company, it seems like my raises are not making a huge impact on my living situation due to the rise of inflation. Plus the job market is not the best right now. What’s some advice on managing your current salary with cost rising?

I would say just keep looking for a better job that would pay better than this one. I hope job market would come back to its prime soon.

I agree with you. It’s better to job hop until you find the best job that pays the best. I know some of friends that job hops and they make way more money than climbing the corporate ladder. I wish I can job hop but I like stability.

My budgeting has become borderline obsessive. I track every single little expense in an app so I know where there is still room for me to cut back. I know it's easier said than done, but lower your cost of living any way you possibly can.

That’s honestly what I do now and sometimes it gets annoying but it helps so much for me to stay on track. I know for sure I have to cut back on somethings but I don’t want to. So, I will be looking for another job.

5+ years of full-time job as developer and still waiting to reverse a LinkedList at work.

Since there is a heavy impetus on solving Tree, LinkedList, and Graph problems for tech interviews, it can naturally make freshers believe that these concepts will be used in day-to-day life at work. In reality, most of these DSA concepts are already implemented in some libraries our code uses and we rarely have to code such Algorithms by hand.

Anybody have experience with adjournment requests in the 1st Dept App Division? We have a respondent’s brief due a week from Wednesday. This past we submitted an application for adjournment. I’ve convinced my partner that we have good cause (record issues that need a motion to resolve) but now I’m starting to get worried. Are adjournments usually granted?

Is it good to get stocks as part of CTC which has 4 years vesting period?

CTC looks high due to this stocks but effectively i would not be getting it for the 4 years. Also the yearly hike includes this stock component.

CTC had fixed, variable and stock part. Variable and stock is almost 30% of total ctc.

Really confused if this is a good deal or is it a trap.
