A retention bonus upon successful transition - maybe with milestones and payouts according to the transition
They already offered a prorated 2026 bonus for staying on thru their suggested transition date, which I feel is pretty generous and there’s no other milestones other than just working. Would you push for something beyond that?
I am sorry to hear you are growing through this. It is tough, and hope that you are able to negotiate something fair to set you up for future successes. I do not have any advice, but am curious what country you are in? I’ve heard that in Europe there is a bit more leverage for those negotiations as compared to the US. Wondering if there is truth to that.
Interesting, I do not live in an employee friendly state so I was not aware. It can’t hurt to negotiate, what’s the worst that can happen? It may hurt your chances to stay in another role if it goes south. But sounds like you are leaving the company no matter what with a minimum package. Either way, I wish you all the best in your future endeavors - and will remain curious of your experience and outcome.
