Getting past the first 2 weeks is critical. Youâll likely come to a point where the itching becomes unbearable and youâll want to shave. Donât! Suck it up and move past it. If you really need something take a Benadryl.
To those of you growing mustaches, remember youâll never look like Robin Olds!
Best if luck
You gotta make it through the itchy phase then itâs all good. Just let it go.
From someone who had a beard, recently shaved, and is growing it back:
- your best friend is a beard brush, keep it with you for the itch
- moisturize your ENTIRE face. If you donât moisturize, nows a good time to start. If you donât want to, grab some beard oil and work it into the beard and skin every other day
- if you feel the need to shave, trim your neckline. If you see a bald spot, ignore it. I grew through two decent sized ones and it filled in nicely
- if you have to be presentable for anything, watch some videos on YouTube about beard styles, and work with what you have. Just by the left corner of my mouth I have a noticeable bald spot and it bothered the hell out of me. Finally embraced it by disconnecting the other side so they matched and got a lot of compliments! Highly recommend going for it, good luck!
Same here haha
Same here! Personal best is 6 days, likely to be broken tomorrow unless I forget and shave out of habit...
Yes!!!
A beard is a great hiding spot for virus.
Beard is close to the entry point - nose and mouth. Thatâs why we are washing our hands - not because the virus enters from the hands.
Iâm 1 week in
Let the beards grow!
Rising Star
I usually trim every week. Probably going to let it grow out now. Moisturizing is key.
Something I wish someone had told me the first time I really grew a beard:
Grow it weâll past the point of it looking clean and then trim it down into a nice shape and density. If you try to keep clipping a trimming along the way, till it becomes what you want, youâll spend WAY more time getting it to how you like it.
I really want to grow it but have way too many white hair now, more than I would like to sport
There is a hair coloring kit for that. Just for Men makes it I believe
Doing a goatee, been 2 weeks now
