My boss doesnt give any feedback about my work. How can I get him to give me better direction?

I’m graduating in December, with a background in environmental economics and policy. Consulting didn’t work out this cycle. Made it to final rounds for Bain and Kearney but in the end didn’t get an offer. I want to recoup and try again, but I’m worried that once I’m out of undergrad the door will be closed to starting in consulting.

What can I do to make this happen? I have friends and connections at Bain and Kearney and the other firms as well, but not sure if it’s feasible now.

M&A/PE associate (trying to juggle multiple deals) feeling like I don’t have time to dive deeper into issues and it being highlighted in some of my work product as I am having to turn things right away and just pushing things out - so issues I may have caught if I had a better/deeper/higher level understanding are more apparent when partners review. I have a deadline to respond to a Motion for SMJ in 1 1/2 weeks. I just found out that my grandparents who I haven’t seen since the start of the pandemic will visit this week.
