36mm of DJ goodness...on a 7.5” wrist.

You’ll have to try them both. But the 36 is just more classy and stylish. Go to Milan and look for an Italian wearing a 41mm DJ. You won’t find any.
Depends on your wrist of course, but as a general rule? Definitely not. It’s traditional and classy.

41 is more versatile; I can usually pull it off with very casual outfit. 36 is bit too dressy to wear with t shirts and shorts imo.
I prefer other brands over Rolex but think 36-38mm is the perfect size
Almost every guy fits the profile for the classic DJ which is 36mm in size. It's a dress watch. The 41 only if you're a much bigger guy with much bigger wrists

I feel like I’m in between the 41 and 36. Sure the 36 is a little classier, but the 41 fits better.
I have a non maxi case sub and think it fits perfectly FWIW
I think it was a perfect size for my wrist but datejusts should be available to try on in ads since that’s all they usually have. Plus depending on the ad, 36mm datejusts can usually be ordered, you just have to put a deposit and I was told about 6 weeks wait. It might just be more difficult if you like the 41mm better

The bezel and bracelet options matter too. The fluted bezel will wear larger.
When it comes to datejusts also consider getting a used one, they are probably one of the few if not only Rolex that sells at a discount in the second hand market
The 36mm Rolex oyster case is actually pretty beefy and wears bigger then you’d expect. It’s a great size for most wrists
