4 kids I would pick a resort w lots of activities and kids club don’t bother travelling. If you just then something easy like Xcaret. 5 days isn’t long with arriving and departing.
We did Royal Sands for 5 days earlier this summer and my 10 year old and her 4 and 6 year old cousins loved it. Multiple pools, great beach and several restaurant options. Good kids club with activities throughout the day.

If you're flexible on location, I would strongly advocate for the Marriott Puerto Vallarta. You don't need to do all inclusive (we re-run #s every time and it doesn't make sense bc costs are already so low + the Marina area has amazing restaurants right across the street). It's extremely safe and great for kids.
I'm a travel agent on the east coast if you'd like any assistance or help. I have stayed at Pyramid Oasis. It's pretty good for the price. The rooms could use some updates, but the resort itself is so big, has plenty of entertainment options for adults/kids, and the food was pretty good too. They had a great gelato place there and coffee bar.
