A few tips: use a tripod. Set a small aperture (f5.6, f8,) so you can use a long exposure and get maximum depth of field. The ISO should be 400 or 800. Then take a series of long exposures (3 to 10 seconds). The longer you leave the shutter open, the more bursts you will capture. But if you expose TOO many, it’ll get messy. You’ll have to experiment; there is no automatic answer.
Made this mistake during a finale. It was way over exposed. Remember you can always layer in photoshop!
To build on what Creative 1 said, use the markings on your lens to set the focus to infinity.
3 seconds is a good starting point, adjust from there.
Use a remote shutter release OR have a delay between you pressing the shutter and it opening so you don’t shake it.
I usually set to F13 or so, then go 2-3 second bursts if it’s a big bright show (like Disney).
Sometimes I’ll play around with lower F-stops, sometimes I’ll go longer exposure times.
Def use a remote since the slightest movement could mess things up.
If you wanna get fancy, look up zoom exposure and try it out once you’re comfortable
