And my wife has 28 Lac gold(wedding gift) + 80 Lac(ancestral) Land.
We have a child, his current age is 2 years+
Currently our monthly expenses are around 22k(max), and my CCTC is 15 LPA+ with 8+ YOE.

Dogs can be great, not a hater. But if you can’t control your dog you’re a massive piece of shit for imposing that on everyone else.

Have a few questions regarding IBM Joining, HR response is strangely lacking and so does in the slack(prejoin channels). Hoping can be cleared here..
a) I've been told virtual onboarding is no longer a thing.
How many days does in-person onboarding activities occur?
b) HR Informed,"After onboarding is complete, can get perm WFH based on project or extension of WFH as IBM is flexible"
Is this true? Can managers extend/grant remote for a month then let us transit to remote model?

What is the deal with people listening to videos and music on their phones, WITHOUT HEADPHONES, in public spaces?? I’ve seen a huge uptick in this on trains, the tube, in coffee shops, etc. Is this really how self-centered we’ve become? Did people forget that they need to behave differently when around others vs in lockdown at home? Wtf

Took a lump-sum pension payout from my last employer and looking to deposit the amount into an IRA account at Fidelity. Hoping this knowledgeable community can guide with couple of questions I have:

Does anyone have family members who constantly demand money because they feel like you’re rich now because you’re a lawyer? I’ve always wanted to be in a position to help my family but we all live in the high COL city so my salary doesn’t carry me as far as it would elsewhere. I’ve given a detailed summary of all of my expenses yet every month one family member in particular comes to me for rent money (not some, the full amount, and they refuse to get a job). It has become quite the burden.

How do you balance your social life with work? I feel like all my non-law friends are out doing shit every night and living it up on the weekends and I just can't. I'm either working or I'm tired from working. How can I set better boundaries about working outside of work, and where do y'all get the motivation to be outside after work 😭

My office is having a barbecue at one of the supervisors houses. It starts at 4 pm. what time should I show up? Social norms say arrive 30 minutes to an hour after a party start time but it’s since it’s a work party, what is the social norm for social work events?
