I am still drilling, primarily for the insurance now and into retirement. I have 17 years in the Navy, and will be able to cover my medical at a greatly reduced rate for my entire life, as long as I get 20 years of good service.
That's a good point. I'm only at 7 years and hadn't even thought of 13 years down the road yet.
I found that once i made Director it became utterly impossible to manage both careers and expectations, even though i was stubborn about making it happen. I often miss it and think about if i made the right decision, but BCG is the firm that pays the bills, not the few hundred bucks for a weekend of duty.

Much sympathy BCG1.
Me! Transitioned to reserves and civilian life this past summer. Just got staffed on a project and trying to figure out when to do my days. Hopefully I can time it for when I'm not billing.
Still in the reserves.
